Will defo make a point of udder check..was fine this morning but didnt check tonight as was concentrating on legs..she settled as I was up there do you think I should bob back and check her??

She's probably just a bit full and uncomfortable then.

Don't worry, just let nature take its course and her milk will subside to a lesser amount. Natural weaning!!

It can help to dry them up a little by giving a bit of gentle exercise ( nothing too much, just a wander down the road and back). It'll also give her something else to think about!!

Natural weaning is what I was hoping for!! he was 6 months at weekend and my plan was keep them together "as mum not in foal" and maybe spring time if he's still at the milkbar send her off for a holiday *to dry up* so hopefully with rio not taking so much she might dry out..but will defo keep a eye out for mastitus (sp) now
