So my 11 year old maiden mare is producing milk constantly! I can literally milk it out, it’s quite clear in colour.

ive had her ovaries scanned and all ok and she’s had a Cushings test, all ok.

Anyone any experience of this? Recommend a supplement I can give her?

Yes. A foal appeared about a week later.

Mine did this a few years ago. I questioned my vet and they said its normal.
Lasted a few weeks then never came back!

It’s better not to squeeze on the teats, as it can trigger mastitis.

Usual suspects for a full udder include mastitis, clover, other hormonal disorder (and pregnancy)

Thanks for replies, definitely not pregnant as have had her 3 years and she’s not been anywhere near a stallion. She’s out during the day and in at night, exercised 5x per week with a mixture of schooling, polework and hacking etc, she is not fat.

No Clover in the field. And will stop squeezing out. She’s not fed Alfalfa.

Will talk to vet about other hormonal type disorder.
