I know this has been covered a lot and I've trawled through all the old posts but most are about mares with bad behaviour and mine is a bit different so please bear with me. I have noticed my mare is struggling to work through her back and stay supple around this time of year and also rushes her show jumps. Saddle and teeth fine so I put it down to coming into season and having a tender back. Her back is extremely sensitive at the best of times. Her trot work becomes a little shorter and she is a little bridle lame on the left rein at times. This problem was apparent last spring but she was new to me then. It subsided as she got further into the summer months although I did have her on stroppy mare for the second part of the year. So, my question is, does anyone know the best supplement for actually dealing with discomfort rather than behaviour. I was about to push the button on Oestress but saw that it mostly relies on magnesium for calming. She is a little mareish in the stable but not difficult to deal with, it is just the discomfort I want to help her with. Really grateful for any suggestions as I have tried to trawl through ingredients but some are not even listed. Thank you.
