My four year old enjoys her breakfast and dinner but over the last few days she has been very picky and offish.
She is hovering over it and pawing at the bucket, taking tiny nibbles and waving her head up and down.
She isn't eating her hay up either, but we do have spring grass coming through.
I am concerned she may have picked up a thorn in her mouth from some hay she had 3 days ago which was a bit prickly with thistles. it was shaken out and pulled apart but I could easily have missed something.
I have had my hand in her mouth and felt about as much as I can (what a love
) came out with nothing to speak of.
She was ridden yesterday and showed no discomfort whatsoever at being bridled or taking contact.
Her Dentist is out of the country, and I have spoken to the vets with a view to getting them out today/tomorrow.
Has anybody else had anything like this? She is fine in herself, no temperature, cuddly as usual, but I would say she is slightly quiet. It is very hot though!
Any ideas?
Thanks
