Mare walking funny (also in vets)

Well E has started walking better but one thing I observed was shes placing the outside of her hoof down first then rolling the rest of the hoof over........

I dont know what to make of it TBH and Im hoping its not her feet hurting......

Opinions please. Im going to try and get a vid of it to show if people would prefer.

Abscess forming on the inside?

Im hoping not TBH, she was the same today but I forgot the camera so I will take it up tomorrow and get her walking about. My friend who shes staying agreed its not like her and Im worried as her hoof wall is now splitting there and peeling off and its making a crack
