Hi , I've just found myself the proud ( I think ) owner of a 16.2 bay mare , she's a real charity case but I couldn't bear to see her go back to her previous owner who had let her get dangerously thin ,mud fever , rain scald , etc etc . but what she needs most is a name so we can start to get to know each other . At the moment she is called Honey but it really doesn't suit , she is dark bay with no white , big girl with a typical little thoroughbred head and not what you would call "pretty" .
Iv'e checked her passport and she was never given a racing name although she was in training . dad is "Bob's return" mum is "Canal street" mums dad is "Oats" , so something from those would be good or my real horse is "Black Sambuca" , Sam on the yard , so something Alcoholic to fit might work . Either way I'm not into very girly names and would like her stable name to come from her posh name .She will be for dressage when ( if ) I can get her straight.
My friend says you lot helped her find a name for her filly , any suggestions gratefully recieved.
