Just to say that lily successfully gave birth to a bay colt this morning, no complications, ended up a pretty easy birth. Having few problems feeding as udders deformed during injury but he,s managed to latch on to one after 8 hours. Bottle fed colostrum earlier. Feisty little chap, so glad they both pulled through.

Unfortunately unlikely that shewill repair, muscles holding up stomach are ripped. Best case is that she dozen,t get further complications and can enjoy life as a field ornament. She,s beinga great mum and little one is getting milk from one teat but not managed other one yet, hoping he will as it has more milk than the little teat. They seem to be coping so will watch to see if things improve. Three weeks ago today my vet mentioned poss pts, been a long 3 weeks but looks like they,ve made it.
