Should be in vets I know sorry. Calli is 3 years old. But there seems to be a pattern forming when she is in season. You know the nursery rhyme "when I am good I am very very good, but when I am bad I am horrid", well it applies to her. Last couple of days she has been very stressy when bringing in from field and calling to her female buddy a lot. Box walking, weaving you name it. On grooming her tonight she was very techy around her flank, kidney area and general back end. ie ears back and giving warnings, the odd tail swish and lifting a back leg. But when she isn't in season you can groom her anywhere and she doesn't bother. My last pony was a mare and not in the least big mareish and you couldn't even tell (apart from the obvious) that she was in season and I had her for 27 years. So to have a mareish mare like this is a bit unerving. I am going to keep a diary of when she is like this and when she isn't and see if a pattern form with her season. What do others think.? Could this be what I am thinking or she just a grumpy bag??? What products are out there if this is the case work or would a vet need to come and do tests (what's involved) to confirm the outcome. Thanks in advance.
