Well, called the vet this morning so they could confirm what I had already thought - my mare is in season and is experiencing a bit of pain and discomfort. She's eating a little bit which is an improvement. I have put her on some bute for a couple of days to ease her pain.
This is the first time she has been like this - must be old age!? She's been really quiet (as opposed to usually being a narky mare!) off her food, dragging her back legs when she walks, awkward back, curling her lip and weeing allot.
How are all your mares doing? any unusual symptoms?
