Gelding
Preferably of a shade of brown
Preferably no socks
Preferably a draught or native x Tb

So why am I being dragged off to look at a half sister to a mare I found three years ago?
Id/Tb x hanno with four socks
I must have been really bad in a previous life.

PMSL :D:D:D you sound just like me :)

Gelding only for me - can't be doing with moody mares ... I have one here on livery atm - I don't think she will be here for long tho - blimin hussey :o

Don't really care as long as it jumps a ditch. I had a fabulous mare a couple of years ago, she was amazing, had her for 18months. She belonged to people in my hunt who couldn't ride her and she was given to me and "play with". She's now hunting with the Old Berks.

Currently I have a gelding and he's fab too. I do find mares have a bit more character to them!

The horse I have now is my first mare and I she's not ready to go out yet. But the best hunter I ever knew was a mare - my former hunt's MFH's horse. At the time I rode with them, he was whipping in and his mare was phenomenal. Sharp, honest, bold - he barely had to touch her, she knew her job so well. I'd kill for a horse like that.

Might be a bit biased as my old pony was a mare & the two foals I bred from her happened to be fillys..and have have only had them to hunt on for the past nearly 20yr. Just a thought tho..if people have a mare they don't get on with it's 'i'm never having a mare again', unlike if they have a gelding they don't get on with!
