Mark Bradstock has died

A trainer with a very small training yard that ran the homebred Coneygree as a novice to win 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup and his half brother also homebred Carruthers to win 2011 Hennessy Gold Cup has very sadly died after years of ill health. RIP Mark you had a wicked sense of humour and I am glad I knew you.

I recognised his name and that of his horses. What a huge achievement to breed and train the winners of those races.

My sympathy goes out to his family.

Wonderful man, fantastic family, achieved so much with a minimal number of horses. He helped secure Nico de Boinville’s career.
Very sad, taken too soon.
