Anyone got a Mark Todd Acupressure Saddle Pad? As seen here!

Fab and Worth the dosh? Or just an expensive numnah?
What do they feel like to the touch?
Which is it most similar to - a prolite, or a 'proper' traditional gel pad?
Does the horse sweat excessively under it?
Is there really spine clearance?
And, last question I promise, how heavy is it?

Phew! Sorry!

Something I really need to see in the flesh I think, but no where round here stocks them

mine has just arrived from equestrian clearance today so will ride in it tomorrow and let you know.
It seems really good quality and good shape. It has air holes so it will breath, tried sitting on it on a chair and felt very comfy.

I thought I had better let you know how it went with the Mark Todd pad straight away, It fitted around my saddle very neatly, Ideal grandee 171/2", and looked great, then......
I did all my usual bits with my horse before getting on as he can be a tad sensitive to say the least, before taking him to the high mounting block as I lowered myself into the sadlle his back came up like a banana and as soon as he took a step forward he was looking to explode, I let him just stand for a bit to get used to the feel of it and gave him a treat before asking him to move on again, whereupon he bought his back up even higher and bunny hopped so I guided him into a corner and carefully dismounted. I then put his normal pad on and he was absolutely fine!!!
I now have a slightly used pad don't know whether equestrian clearance will take it back, will contact them later, if they wont it will be looking for a new home.
Other people have posted very favourable comments on here about them in the past, but obviously not right for me.

How about popping him on the lunge wearing it for a bit before you ride? The marketing spiel says it has a 'massaging action' so maybe that is what he is objecting to?

But, if you are wanting to get rid.....

I put it on him for a good 20 minutes before mounting to let him get used to the feel and then led him all around the farmyard where I keep him before trying to mount, so even if I could lunge here which is not possible as no school and fields wet, I dont think it would make any difference.
I will let you nkow what EQ say tomorrow, if they wont refund on it and you would like to try I will sort something out.
