Mark Todd Back Pad

Can anyone tell me if you can wash the back pad?
It is the silver and black one, like a prolite pad.
I have bought one off ebay but it is dirty and I want to clean it before I use it on my horse but there are no washing instructions???

Don't put it in the washing machine because of the foamy stuff. You can wash it by hand though - that should be sufficient...
