I bought a new fly rug for my mare last week and she had it trashed within a matter of hours, so I'm back looking for something more substantial that will keep the bugs off. Equestrian clearance have the Mark todd fly sheet with the flexi neck and I'm wondering if anyone has any good or bad things to say? My old weatherbeeta fly rug is the only one that has stood the battering but the mice got it!

I have just bought 2 mark todd rugs..light and medium...love the fit etc

,however couldnt trust my lad with any fly rug on the planet,lol...between him and his young field mate they would destroy it

I have a mark todd flexi neck one for my mare. It also has the tummy flap and it is the best fly rug I have ever bought. It is robust and a good fit and the neck doesn't slip down like most fly rugs. I paid about £58.00 for mine but I think it is very good value.

Just bought one, looks very robust, good fit even on my odd shaped mare (big body, fine neck!) Just wonder if it might be a bit hot on a roasting day tho (she does like to be warm so not too worried!) Any thoughts on this anyone?!

I bought one for my mare last summer, the neck is good and the tummy pad is too, my mare has a small front to her so i found it slipped back and didn't go tight enough for her at the front so wouldn't recommend it for TB owners really.

I use it on my welsh d mare now as it fits her better.

i love mine, my tb has a long neck, and with the fliexi neck, when he put his head down it didnt expose his neck to the biting flys, its very soft to, i did find it rubbed his withers abit but he has high withers and most of his rugs do that.
