I have the combo lightweight turnout and have had it professionally reproofed by two separate horse rug cleaners and after a couple of weeks it leaks again. It is only 1.5ys old. IS it because it is only 600D? I have had 600D rugs in the past (amigo and w/beeta) and they have all leaked too. Should I be look at 1200D and above?
Many thanks :)

I have found 600's are ok until it really rains then they just dont cope.
I have brought a 1200 this year and it was slightly more expensive but no leaking even in the torrential rain we had.

I've got 2 of the 600D lightweight combo's, i've had them for about 4 years and neither have ever leaked - in fact its the only rug he hasn't managed to tear! They've been re-proofed once in that time.

600D rugs will normally only be shower proof, not rain proof. So if you want a totally waterproof rug you should always buy 1200D or higher.

Never had a problem with leaks. Have a lightweight that is over 10 years old and still going strong. The midweight I bought last year didn't leak once and my horse was out 24/7 through all the winter snow and rain.
