I have a nightmare fitting rugs to my little spanish/welsh. I like weatherbeeta rugs but they no longer make the 100g fill freestyle no neck ones, so I was eyeing up the autumner Mark Todd one. main issue with him is depth, he is quite fine, so doesn't have much 'chunk' to take up rugs and they end up round his kneecaps, plus I have had to tie knots in all of his cross surcingles so that they are tight enough.

I think a premier rug will drown him, the shires ones are ok but not great, so wondering about the Mark Todds.

im going to say no, mark todd fits my mare like a glove but she has a massive chest and they are quite long too!!
how about an amigo? the mios are pretty short in the body

I used them on my arabs without any issues, my OAP was quite fine, they fitter her well, and also my arab of more solid proportions was fine in them too.

Not used mark Todd rugs but I find that horseware rugs are a good fit on my very fine TB. Weatherbeeta drown him,as do premier equine. I do have a 450g premier equine as I like the deepness of it for mid-winter but got rid of my lighter weight premier equines as they were too deep for summer use. This year I've bought a lightweight bucas,1st time I've had a bucas but its a fantastic fit in him & I'm really pleased with it.

I share your annoyance that they discontinued that rug :(

Fig is a LW TB, very show pony in build. Short through the back too and not much depth through the shoulder.

The Amigo lite fits him really well :) He did actually have the Mark Todd LW + neck cover and it didn't fit him well at all.

He has the weatherbeeta freestyle MW and HW detach a neck and they fit him really well too.

PE didn't suit him and rubbed really badly (also think they're really poor quality).

It's a pain isn't it, I had to bring his current one back from the dead after he ripped a massive hole in it not long after i bought it. He has since ripped a similar weight masta rug and since the poor chap rarely gets more than that weight I'd love to have another one in stock. I do remember he had an amigo full neck and the neck was too tight on him. He is a funny shaped little beast, more neck than you think but the right neck means too big a body!
Ignoring chavvy rider, this is his build:

(He does have a weatherbeeta freestyle MW same as yours for deepest darkest winter, but the full neck doesn't agree with his spanish mane and he gets awfully itchy under it)

My little Welshie is terribly narrow and the best fitting rugs I have found are Shires and Loveson

I'm particularly impressed with the Loveson rugs
