Mark todd rugs

I really like Mark Todd rugs but my girl is ID so she's got a broad chest and big shoulders so doesn't really help with your question - sorry!

I think they will fit a TB better than anything else. The front is quite adjustable. Personally I found with a IDxTB that they came up small both in width and length - one size up was needed

I have the original checked heavy weight stable rug.

Also found they shrunk badly too

We used to really like them. Have had four which are gradually giving up the ghost after about five years, I'm not complaining as they have been well used. I ordered a new lightweight stable a couple of weeks ago to use under a thicker rug when cold and it doesn't seem nearly as nice. It was not well finished, one seam was caught up inside and seems quite skimpy compared to what they were. Oh and is all horrible and almost crispy. I think I'll try another brand next.

eek!! she hates crispy plasticy rugs! i think she murdered a lightweight one we called 'the crisp packet!' its a coolex rug though... iv never used m/t rugs before n was just wondering how they measured up. she usually in rhinos or W/Bs.

I normally stick to wb but have the mt under rug and really rate it. It fits nicely and is really thick and warm. It is very adjustable at the front and goes pretty small so I think it would fit

My mainly TB girl wears a MT Coolex rug that fits her beautifully, and a MT universal sheet which is also fantastic. She is quite deep and these fit really well. Would HIGHLY recommend them

I had the heavy combo which I loved but it leaked after one season. The middleweight material ripped too easily as well. I prefer Horseware as they are tougher but I like the styles of the MT collection

i think they come up small. i have a 15.1hh Welsh Cob in 6ft9 MT rugs, yet he only wears a 6ft thermatex and 6ft3 fleeces/coolers etc. He is built like a brich s**t house though - his neck is the size of an elephant and his front is massive. They fit him brilliantly, just have to go up a couple of sizes and have them on the first setting at the front. My youngster is 15.2hh and another Welsh but much narrower. They also fit him well, but again he is in 6ft6 and wears the same fleeces/coolers etc as the other one. I have to do them up on the tighter setting at the front and the x-surcingles are too long so have had to tie knots in some of them, but otherwise really like them. They did rip quite badly when we had a rug wrecker in the field last yr but generally they're hardwearing. i esp love my HW which has a soft lining instead of the normal nylon - i think it must be much more toasty warm
