I tried one - the single panel one. found as it only comes in one size fits all medium that it sat very low on my horses not particularly big wither. - Appears nice quality but only garanteed for a year - concerningly? I thought so.
Perhaps we need to swap panels as all mine head toward the tail due to my SDWG's !!!

I don't
Trainer and I both decided today that my Wow does me absolutely NO favours at all, so I am tentatively looking at other options. Problem is you have to have your stirrups SO short for everything to be correct (on the front bar) that it just doesn't work for me and I don't know that changing flaps will help. My panels are fine for my 2, but if you want a borrow then please feel free as it is now shelved for the foreseeable future, or until Julia Duffin gets off Maternity leave!
I have a Mark Todd saddle and I love it! I haven't got the close contact I have the old traditional style! Although I'm not overly tall I have quite long legs so find the shape is really good. I did have additional knee blocks put in under the knee roll by saddler as I like to have a nice bulky knee roll and found it too flat to start with. I've had mine for about 8 years now and it still looks great, no excessive wearing anywhere. Would definitely recommend!
I really wouldn't bother looking for a certain make or model Lou.
I'd get a saddler out with a range of saddles and keep trying them till you find something you both like. It might take a couple of saddler visits to get there as sometime they can use the first trip to get a better idea of what you are after and bring more relevant saddles over next time.
It might also mean you have to get a 2nd saddler otu if you don't agree with the first one.
Does your instructor not have a saddler she recommends?
I've had mine for 11 years. It fits everything. Some people complain it isn't very comfortable and it does a weak leg no favours - but suits be well. The jaguar is also a nice saddle.
