Market harborough help!

Sitting here in my garage putting a pony bridle together for a lesson today, with a market harborough (German martingale). Do i need a martingale stop? The little round thing at the chest or do you need to leave that bit loose for the action to work? I totally cant remember ahh!

No stop as you should have rings on the reins. The martingale bit goes though the bit and back onto the reins?

Are we talking the same thing?

Mine has the a little round rubber thingy on the chest. Think the action is just from the reins/bit not the chest.

yep but stop at the chest not on the rains if you know what i mean?

Thankyou, totally couldn't remember and didn't want to put one on just in case it effected the action! Here comes the hard bit, getting one of a running martingale lol
