Hi all right what i would like to no is that is it ok to use one of these when your are schooling and when should you not use them?
I have not had my horse very long and when i am schooling him he can sometimes get quite strong and excitable he is only in a loose ring snaffle but has got a senstive mouth, he doesn't do anything in a bad way (never bucked or reared touch wood) just gets giddy with himself. I put a market Harborough on a few weeks ago and he seem to really really slow down and was easier to handle.
Is this the worng thing to do or will it be ok to use it on him until i get abit more used to riding him (i used to have a 15.3 cob on loan, and he is a 17h ex hunt horse)
Also the one i used had leather reins with no grip which i didnt like, so does anyone no where you can get them with different reins that will fit him?
Thanks
Jodie xx
