I have taken a spare set of rubber reins in and just had the D's stitched on. Worked really well

How did you stitch them on? through the leather?

Umm from what I remember - haven't looked at them in a while, they stitch a piece of leather over the top - that doesn't sound right! I think they have the D's attached to little piece of leather and they stitch that piece of leather to the reins. I didn't personally do the stitching my saddler did They look just like the ones you'd buy if you bought a market harborough
