Has anybody seen it yet? I watched it last night. Is it wrong to watch the 'worst dog in the world' remind me of my own at times??????lol

I have to say, my eyes did leak a little...ok maybe a lot towards the end.

i bawled my eyes out at the end
it was like my puppy!!! so filled me with dread! only im hoping my dog will learn better!

Very sad at the end!

I thought it was a happy film, was going to take kids to see it. Would it upset them?

Oh dear, have you not read the book?? I wept buckets reading the book!! Everyone who has seen the film that i know has cried. How old are the kids?

I dare even the hardest people not to cry. I had to look away at the end otherwise you might have heard a little sob coming out. All I could hear was people sniffing.lol

It is a nice film and only sad at the end ( unless the dog is actually reminding you of your own ) lol

I read the book and had to stop reading it when Marley started getting old as we had just had Bates our 1st golden retriever PTS. I picked it up again and read the ending last year and bawled my eyes out. The decline was like reading about Buddy (he was pts in january this year) and it broke my heart.

DO not go to see it if you are embarrassed of crying in public I say. I havent seen it yet and am considering waiting for the DVD.....

The book came out around the same time I lost my old girl and though I read excerpts I couldn't face the end. Part of me wants to see the film but think I would probably end up a snivelling wreck at the end

The tears were still coming when I got home-luckily it was silent crying though!

When I went to see it we were waiting for the showing before to come out, a little girl came out with her Mum absolutely howling, poor wee mite was distraught!

I may have a cried.... a little bit... well a lot actually!

The ending messes with your emotions, it's sooooo drawn out and sentimental!

I think my OH was crying, although he maintains he had something in his eye

hehe, we watched it at home - I balled my eyes out!!!

OH never cries, but admitted to being a bit choked up!

My mission now is to find a film to make him cry.

i haven't cried at a film since going to see the lion king age 7... until i went to see marley last friday.

i thought it was fantastic & really reminded me of one of my labs (my other lab is just odd) particularly when he ate the birthday cake!

as for taking kids, it is a really funny film which is suitable, but the dog gets old & the inevitable happens. by this point everybody loves the dog, so it depends whether you think your kids are able to cope with this.
