Martin Clunes spotted buying Equisafety Polite waistcoat

I was on the Equisafety trade at Olympia today and saw Martin Clunes buying three Polite waistcoats. I think they are fab so I bought one to.

It would be great to get him on tv wearing it as it might make drivers more aware of why it is so imporant to slow down passed horses.
 
I reckon he'd do a fab TV ad and someone like him would get the attention of the driving public if it was spiced with humour yet got the message across but I doubt someone like Equisafety could afford the advertising airtime for a run of ads on national commercial TV unless a consortium of people went in there together. Maybe some of the Hi Viz manufacturers, pls a horse insurance company, plus BHS etc...it could happen if there were the funds...probably need to air it in more rural counties too where it would be most effective.
 
Nickyruby I am all for hi-viz believe me, and I nearly bought one of these for a friend of mine who happens to be a police officer, but you are not allowed to advertise on HHO (well not without paying at any rate) and both your threads have been rather unsubtle plugs for these waistcoats you know :rolleyes: You have actually put me off buying one now:)
 
well, i'm glad i got a heads-up about them because i went straight out and bought one. if i hadn't heard about it on here, i probably wouldn't have seen 1 for years...
ANYTHING that will slow drivers down and make my horses safer on the roads is great by me.
normally i get annoyed with first-time posters plugging products, but NOT in this case!
anyway, Martin Clunes is in good company, i got one first! ;) ;)
 
I think they are great, im sure other people would be grateful to read about them and know where to get them from.

I heard about them form another forum !!!!!!
 
I'm glad about the heads up too :)

I have just bought one - its what I have been looking for! have spent years looking for a fake "police" coat!

I heard about the waistcoats and saw them at Olympia. When I saw Martin Clunes buy one I thought yea I will have one to.
I'm really pleased I bought it. I can't wait for the snow to go.
 
I can't believe that if you saw Martin Clunes buying one that it would make you buy one too :confused:

Surely if it is a good product, it will sell itself!!

I bought it because I liked it. Not because a celebrity has it!

Are you for real??

If it wasn't for this website i wouldn't have had a clue about them. I love mine and my brother has even brought one for himself and one for a friend for when they are riding there bikes on the road. Anything that can help slow drivers down for vulnerable road users can only be a positive thing to me.

Perhaps you should buy one and change the back to 'HHO Police' so you can sit in the corner and pooh-pooh anyone who recommends a safety product...
 
I too saw these on the stand and thought there were a fab idea,i would of maybe bought one but i very rarely have to go near a road as my yard is on a 2500 acre estate,lucky me! Def would consider buying one if i did more roadwrok though
