Martin Wilkinson Saddlers

Has anyone had dealings with Martin Wilkinson Saddlers - if so what is your opinion on him

My parents had a saddle from him and were very happy.

Always found him reliable and have had 5 saddles fitted over the last 9 years or so.

Not a big fan of him and another staff member there. However I was impressed by one of their saddlers recently, i *think* her name was Kirsty? Very happy with the saddle adjustments and flocking.

The man himself fitted my horse's saddle. Good service, I thought, although I'm surprised he didn't want to see me on board.

A bit cool in the shop, the assistant, but professional.

let's just say he must have been having a very off day years ago when he sold me an expensive second-hand Albion which had a wonky tree, at the time i didn't know enough to realise...
luckily i had someone v experienced check it a couple of months later.

Absolutely awful. I have recently bought a new saddle from them and I can honestly say that I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Pm me if you want details. Really awful.

used him for over 15 years, bought another saddle of him yesterday - he's the best around! I pay for him to come to Suffolk!

Marmite.

Lots of folks are fans, but I don't get the idea of a fitting without seeing a rider on board.

My current horse came with a saddle fitted by Martin Wilkinson. Previous owner had not had saddle checked for 2 years, so MW may or may not have provided the lousy fit.
