Martingales - D ring or loop ?

Pros & cons of both please or is it personal preference ?

I would always recommend a trigger clip on the martingale and a girth with a d ring. A loop around the girth can't be comfortable on a mobile and sensitive area.

Are you talking about the loop to the girth?
In my case it depends upon the type of girth, at the moment I need a loop as girth has no ring. but only use occasionally.
