Mary and Cavvy remembered

[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone know if it would be possible for us to organise some flowers or something for Mary from the forum? I guess we would need to know her address. I have always loved watching her ride and it is so tragic that this has happened.

[/ QUOTE ]

If we could I would love to contribute.

Mary is such an inspiration and comes across as such a lovely person. I have so much respect for her, would be lovely to be able to do something.

that's a lovely idea. i was thinking of a card with all the HHOers names on it. i have her address somewhere. i'm sure she'll be inundated with things like that... but i always worry that sending something will upset someone if it arrives when they've just pulled themselves together though.

I'd be happy to coordinate it if anyone knows where we could send them?

Me too. She is such a wonderful person.

I agree Lucretia, I looked at the horse's comp record and Vicky Brake must be so upset too, she and he did so well when he started out.
I think some pics of him eventing would be a fine tribute, rather than remembering those terrible scenes from today.

He was caroline pratts great hopefull too, when she took over the ride from vicky she was really raving about him.

How sad now they are both gone.

So sorry for all those concerned

Don't cry for the horses
That life has set free
A milion white horses
Forever to be

Don't cry for the horses
Now in god's hands
As they dance and they prance
To a heavenly band

They were a gift
But never to keep
A they close their eyes
Forever to sleep
Their spirits unbound
On silver wings they fly
A million white horses
Against a blue sky

RIP Cavvy, you were so billiant. It was never meant to end like this but some things you can't control.
Deepest symathy goes out to Mary and all concerned.

That's a beautiful pic, Lu...
I just got onto laptop and found out about this tragedy. Not sure I'm brave enough to go through all the threads... Mary IS my all time favorite in UK eventing and I can't figure out if she was injured in the fall ...?

RIP gorgeous Cavalier.
Thoughts with Mary and all involved.

He was a truly magnificent horse whose life can't be measured by how long he lived but should be measured by the things he did.
He was only 16 but lived a fantastic life culminating in winning a team bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics.
A very tragic loss but certainly a life worth celebrating.
RIP Cavvy.

There aren't really words when something like this happens. We love our horses and many of us know that gut wrenching moment when you would beg on your knees with your life, pray and bargain in desperation for the day to restart so it can all change and be ok. It rips your heart out when you know it won't and I truly hope Mary and Call Again Cavalier's family can find an ease to the pain as soon as possible. x

RIP Cavvy

truely devastating and such a tragic waste of a fantastic horse, I can't even think to imagine what Mary and anyone else involved with Cavvy is going through
