It says she's been eliminated? But I thought the Open was run in reverse order? Surely it should say withdrawn?

Really really hope they've have withdrawn rather than anything else

They aren't doing it in reverse order because so many entries, and the XC has started before SJ finished - sorry that's the boring bit. Don't know about MK and IC.

They are not running in reverse order this year (times available on BDWP) so I assume if it says E then she has unfortunately been eliminated

There's some big names crashed and burned in the Adv sections too. What happened to Avebury (amongst others)?

Poor Mary's Nov Final horses both had a XC stop too. Not her weekend!

although i think mary is great i am routing for bill levett and Hip and there are now only 3 ppl who can beat him so fingers crossed they have problems xc too! bill was taught me loads and lives literally 5 minutes from my house so i am supported the local side! its nerve racking times refreshing the score board!

Macchiato (sp?) had a glance off at the same fence then a stop later on before WFP retired him - it was all happening just as I was leaving!

I saw Mary King, she looked like she was going to clear it (the two before had had runouts) but he ducked out and she fell off at the last minute. It was such a shame.

hmmm..... wonder what the selectors are thinking now!!

2nd big win for DD & Spring Along and Ruth Edge seems to have cracked the sj bogey. Saw her at A-le-W jumping 2 beautiful sj rounds - very unlucky to have the 4faults that she did have!

sm153 I was thinking the same..Ruth looked brilliant and she was suffering with injuries too. Spring Along seems to be on terrific form! Still, I have to say that Flint looked the business and I really want him to win gold, far more than I do the rider. Just think the horse is brilliant!

Yeah, it wasn't her weekend at all. However, Kings Temptress finished 7th in the Open.

Old Road ran out at the top of the steps and the corners, I think? Avebury had a rotational fall in the water. Imperial Cavalier was a bit far off the last part of the folly and ducked out. Several others did the same including Macchiato who then also ran out of steam at the top of the hill at the mushroom. William also had a fall with Corofin Flyer at the second fence in the intermediate. Zinzan got stuck somewhere around the water. There were several influential fences all round the course but the main factors were the speed and the terrain.

I don't know if it is the time of year/season and horses are tiered, but reading the reports in this post Gatcombe Adv seems to have a higher attrition rate than Badminton did this year!
And I think most people were on their top horses, not horses new to Adv tracks, well I seem to know all the top combos anyway...

I am glad to hear that no one was seriously injured!
