Massive run of bad luck - will it get better??

I lost both my beloved mares in the last 6 weeks to injuries and post-operative problems. I am looking to try again and buy something again, but I can't help think our run of bad luck for the last 3 years will continue to over-shadow us. Has anyone got any encouraging words that things will get better or stories where their misfortune was turned around to something good??
It's very hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel at the moment.

firstly, sorry about your mares

i have lost 1 horse and sold a complete nutter - now bought (hopefully 3rd time lucky?), a fabulous mare which looks nothing like my other two (nor the same breed)!....

lets hope its third time lucky for you too x

So sorry for your losses I am sure you are devastated. I think unfortunately these runs of bad luck do happen a lot
Things really will improve but having horses is always a bit of a rollercoaster. Wishing you good luck for the future.
