The people rehoming Lumi have pulled out and decided to send her to a 'trainer' instead which is not what she needs, the wanted to re-home her to someone with more time and plenty of company, which is exactly what me and mum offered and now they are keeping her in a home where she is unhappy and gets left alot so cries, and they reckon a trainer will 'fix her' what rubbish.

Sorry, OP, but it is their dog to do with as they see fit. I once went to view a Lab with a view to rehoming, because she was 'too much work' for the stay-at-home mum with a toddler. That fell through because, when the owner was faced with the reality of seeing the dog leave with me, she decided to keep her and adapt to life with a toddler and a dog.
It sounds as if the owner of the Bichon feels similarly.
 
I know it's disappointing but think of the dog - she won't have to go through the upheaval of going to a new home and her owners are prepared to work through the issues...I wish more people were prepared to put the work in and be responsible rather than immediately rehoming.
Teaching a dog that it's ok to be left alone isn't the worst thing in the world.

And as above, if it doesn't work out, they know where you are.
 
She is still facing a massive upheaval as they are sending her away, what really sickens me is that they had only had her two days when they put her up for rehoming because her neighbours had complained about the poor little dog, god knows what will happen to the poor little mite from now, who knows. I just wanted to give her a safe permanent home.

what have i said that is wrong? you dont know the circumstances and the original thread said the dog was being sent away to a trainer so they are not keeping her at home, so she will have upheaval anyway.
 
That must be very disappointing and frustrating. It sounds like you have time and patience to offer a dog so could you speak to your local rescue and see if there’s a dog just waiting for a home like yours?
