Masta fieldmasta rug wrecked

Hi Has anyone else had one of these totally trashed by their horse? Mine was worn for 2 days!

I bought my mare one and she somehow managed to get her leg inside the edge binding, and the shoulder dart has ripped out along the seam., It has also torn along from the seam lengthwise.

Harry Hall say that 'The characteristic of the rip leads up to believe it has been pulled by force'. They have offered me a £10 credit. The rug cost £90

I can totally understand that something needs to give, but damage like this is crazy!

If she got her leg caught up I’d be pleased the rug did give way. Otherwise it might have been her internal tissue that got torn, which would have been much more expensive!

Honestly this is just part and parcel of the money pit of horses.

What bad luck but at least your horse is OK. Fortunately the rug did what it is designed to do and gave way under pressure. Unfortunately it was brand new and is totally trashed. I’ve spent ages adjusting the surcingles on a new and very expensive fly sheet only to have a similar thing happen.

I've had one of these for three years and it's been brilliant.

Like others have said I'm glad it did rip and enable your horse to get free.

Bad timing that it was two days from new but that's horses for you
