Masta LW with fixed neck

Hiya all... i was thinking of getting this rug to use as a layer in the winter.
Was going to team it up with an amigo 300g stable rug, to make a cosy stable rug, that is easy to wash in two parts, and gives me greater flexibility.

What are people's views on the masta rug. Dont want to buy it and then find it rubs him to pieces etc!!!

Is it a stable rug or a turnout? I bought a Masta MW turnout for one of my girls at the start of the winter....very disappointed....leaked like a sieve...and all the binding is coming off it. It also slips from side to side.
Never again.
Sorry to be negative...it's my first bad rug experience though!

if its the stable rug then I highly recommend it. I bought one for my girl and its never once rubbed her or caused any problems. Definitely worth the money
 
If it's the stable rug then I recommend it, bought two last year for my little TB and big IDxTB, fitted really well and the necks are nice, did rub at all........... Don't do the turnout rugs though...
 
Hi i had a masta rug for my welsh cob found that it didnt fit very well at the front it came to far back on her withers and also wasnt very waterproof.
 
I'm afraid I wouldn't buy a Masta rug of any kind for any horse!
They don't seem to fit ANY type or shape & leak like the proverbial sieve! Absolutely vile!

Amigo or Rhino turnouts (both by Horseware Ireland) are a hundred times better, as waterproof as can be, fit most things pretty well & are excellent value for money!
 
i have the 110g stable rug , decent fit , fits in the washing machine , hasn't shrunk & still looking decent after 2 winters use
 
Had 2 Masta LW TO. Both leaked badly. Would advise against.

Now have a Rhino. Very good, never leaked.
 
I've got quite a few Masta rugs for my ID & have no real complaints other than they are heavy when they're wet. None have leaked, they fit him well & are still in good condition. The stable rugs are a nice deep cut so don't look like mini skirts on him!

I was meaning the stable rug, not turnout... only do rambo turnouts!!!
Think i will get a masta LW stable rug, to use a layering in the winter, as the response has been positive, and on the plus side they arent too expensive!!!!
