My traditional cob has always had a lovely 100g Weatherbeeta Freestyle rug over winter and they don't seem to be making them anymore :(.
Trying to find a 100g turnout rug, she normally has 6ft in Weatherbeeta rugs but the Freestyle ones seem a bit roomier than the normal ones. Just wondering how Masta sizes compare.
Thank you.

I couldn't really comment about size, but I had a Masta no-fill turn-out and it was the worst rug I ever bought - about as waterproof as blotting paper. It wasn't even showerproof. I replaced it with a Shires and that was 100% waterproof even in torrential downpours.

In my experience you need to go down a size for masta's!! I have a super heavy weight one. which i bought 2 yrs ago for my youngster but he's not needed to wear it yet!! its lucky that it came up so big as it wouldn't fit him anymore if it was true to size!

but I dont know how waterproof it is, becuase its not been used! but i will say that I bought my mare a masta back in the day (14 yrs ago) and it was shocking, it was not waterproof at all!! so I'm hoping they've improved since then!!

I did see a nice shires 100g rug in robinson the other week but they did not have my mares size in stock otherwise I'd have got her one!

The shires one is good

I like Masta rugs, never had a bad one but would personally say they are better suited to finer types not cobs
