Hi All

The big hairy has a Fal pro for winter, fits fine, doesn't rub. But I wanted a no fill rain sheet type turn out for keeping clean after bath before shows etc and went and bought a Masta Zing (I think) no fill rug.

The over all length etc is perfect (went one size up from Fal as think Fal are generous), but it seems to be very tight/high around the neck, and looked like it was digging into his gullet as he put his head down to eat.

Anyway think I will take it back and order something else, but has anyone else had this problem with a big shouldered cob type? If so is there anything else that is a similar shape to a Fal but not so pricey?

Thanks, Cadbury Button's to all who read! :)

Yep I've had the same problems, never had a Masta yet that fitted well, there always too tight across the withers once they put their heads down to eat.

Love Amigos, fit both my TB and ID/WB lovely.

Even love my cheapy Gallop rug, that's a light weight turn out, was about £25.00 off the top of my head and it fits him lovely...and it doesn't leak, now you can't get better than that!

oo just been looking at the gallop ones, but can only find in raspberry! Not the end of the world, although he may not talk to me for a few days :D

Will have to see if any local tack places sell them

Well for the price it's worth getting one, I went for a 6'9'' I actually went for generous size (he's only 16.1 very short backed as well) but has deep girth.

Fits him lovely around the neck and plenty long enough too, so it might be worth trying one a size larger than you'd normally get for a better fit but if you can take them back to exchange then it should be ok anyway.

Thanks guys, will have a hunt around for the ones you have mentioned. There was a good offer on an Amigo lightweight at tack shop so may look at that.

Alternatively may bite bullet and shell out for a Fal one, will have to see!
