master saddle north east/north yorks?

Can anyone recommend a master saddler who travels to the north yorks (Richmond/catterick/northallerton area)? Not david sayer-he's great but i've been trying to get him out for 4 months!!

Interested in this as near bedale and poss after someone though unfortunately would have to say I would never touch David Sayer again!

Have you tried the saddle fitters/ makers website ( can't remember the name) it lists all in the area and what they are qualified to do.

Can you tell me why you wouldnt use David Sayer again? Also looking for someone to fit a 2nd hand or new saddle to my young horse and am struggling to find someone. Also live near Bedale.

Note that a master saddler is qualified to make saddles but unless they are also a qualified saddle fitter, they arent qualified to fit saddles to horses.

The SMS website has symbols for each of master saddler and saddle fitter so you can see who has which qualification and who has both (which is the ideal)

You prob know this but am posting this cos a lot of peeps think a master saddler is the term for a qualified saddle fitter, which isnt automatically the case.

I have used a chap called Paul Wiles late last year who is based in Malton (he uses Parnabys workshop I think). He came out to my TB (near Selby at the time) several times and we got exactly the right fit in the end. He covers the area you mention.
