Hi again,

What would you rather travel a 16h horse in a renault master van, or a single horse trailer?

Renault master internal height 7 foot, trailer height 7 foot 2 inches !

I really cant decide - any advice also welcome !

My 16.1 fatty travels fine in a similar van to a renault master and fits in fine, along with another horse. they do not look cramped at all. I would never go for a single trailer - far too unstable IMHO. I would rather get them there with less headroom than not at all!

Agree with Stencilface regarding the single trailer.

My horse 16.3 clydey x monster fitted into the van with room to spare and was very comfortable. He also fell asleep in it he was so comfy. They are also safer.

I chose van BUT
I have a single trailer

you would be suprised actually, Ellie is perfectly stable in it we have NEVER had any probs, motorway between massive lorries etc., wind out in the open in gale force winds on the moor no problem but hey whatever...

Hi Stencilface, Thanks for that advice, its hard to imagine a horse in the van. I would like the luton version but they are to expensive to buy. I have found a workshop that can put a ramp and windows onto a van for a very good price. Its good to know that a 16.1 fits in there well

hb6 - thats amazing that a 16.3 fits in def makes me feel better about a 16.1 fitting in!

Ab-Fab - I know some people with single trailers and they seem to do well with them, no problems. Your grey looks lovely! x

Lol you either love em or you hate em whatever I have transport at the end of the day

Stencilface: What is the payload on your van? If it's a 3.5 ton it is unlikely that you could carry 2 horses, driver, groom, tack etc & be within weight? Normally they are two pony or one horse?
