Has anyone got the new masterclip hunter or Rambo clippers? I know older models where very noisy, the newer ones are down as 68 decibels and 70 decibels.

Are they now quieter? Whats your opinions on them? Im after a ssrcons pair of clippers to use alongside my wolesely Harriers, which are noisy, for my clipping business. So they need to be capable of heavy use.

Both of these clippers are much quieter than your harrier clippers. The harrier clippers scare me when i turn them on for testing, who know how the poor horse feels!

Out of the two you mention I would suggest the hunter. I think it's the lighter of the two, they're both the same size.

They are both reliable enough and are covered by the market leading 2 year warranty. the blade quality is not the best so I would buy yourself a set or two of heineger blades if you are using them professionally.

Delicate matter is getting one of these cheap clippers at half the price of a top branded clipper. I do think it is more to do with branded clippers being overpriced rather than these being cheap and nasty. That said, it is questionable practice to buy the cheapest clipper brand for professional use. I have no statistics to draw from and my experience doesn't necessarily suggest you are making a mistake but it's not what I would do!

A handful of professional clips pays for the difference between these and a heineger delta 3 and the delta 3 clippers are supreme. Blade quality is market leading, they are in my opinion, the best on the market, easily.

These are only back up clippers, hence not wanting to spend a fortune. The wolesleys are a great clipper and i dont find too many horses that object to them but i dont want to spend another £300+ on a pair of clippers that are for "just in case". The masterclip i wouldnt be using as a main machine.
