Masterclip Ranger Horse Clippers

I've recently been given a pair of Masterclip Ranger clippers but i'm struggling to find anything out about them, there is no mention of them on the Masterclip website though goggle did tell me they take the A2 blades. I'm specifically looking for another set of blades for them as they only came with 1 set and I daren't start a clip with them without a spare set! I've read on here a couple of people swopping the Masterclip blades for Heiniger but I can't seem to locate on goggle the Heiniger A2 blades. Can anyone point me in the direct of them or another good alternative that will fit these clippers please?

My masteclip clippers would not clip with the blades they came with. Once I changed to heinger blades they were brilliant. Not sure where to point you to for heinger blades, sorry.

Old style masterclip took heiniger style blades but newer ones are lister type- if you put a pic of the head on I can let you know

Master clip blades are really bad. I recently got 3 sets as I have 10 to clip all year round and the master clip blades are useless. Heinger blades are on Amazon, Redpost equestrian, countystore.co.uk. They aren’t hard to get hold of

I use Lister blades on my friends Masterclip clippers.

Thanks for the replies, i will get the blades off the clippers so have them for reference and start looking for 2 sets of replacements.

Looking at the blades that Masterclip say should be on there, the cutter seems to have a metal box on it which would be to make the cutter move against the comb but I can't see that the Heiniger blade set have it? I think that bit is an important piece so I don't think that these Heiniger ones are a direct replacement. Is anyone able to send me a link to a set they have bought?

They’re 2 different types of head, master clip did an update a few years ago to swap from the heiniger style blades to the lister fit ones so entirely depends how old/ which head yours has on it

Ah that makes sense. I guess I will need the Lister style blades then.

Yes any lister fit blades will work, I mainly use master clip mediums (clip around 15 horses per week in busy season)
