Masterpiece has been PTS

So so sad - just seen on Coloured Contacts that the lovely stallion Masterpiece lost his battle with colic.

I met him a few years ago and he was such a sweetheart,

My heart goes out to his owner

Its very sad, i read it very recently on the BSPA website. He was a lovely horse. RIP.

Thats very sad to hear, i have a lovely 3yr old by him. Super stamp of a horse. I hope they have some semen from him stored, I would quite happily use him again given the chance. Such a super temperament and lovely horse

So sad, we used him for our mare this season, but unfortunately she didn't take - mare problem, not him. I feel so sad for John and Wendy and alll those at Willesley that tried so hard to save him. RIP

RIP Masterpiece, he will be very missed. my thoughts to John and wendy and everyone at willesly who will have battled to save him. I have two lovely geldings by him and would love another.

Poor lovely Masterpiece. At least he's out of pain now. We'll call our colt Master Reilly after him.
