I've been trying to decide on a new set for my horse to showjump in.

I'm torn between the Le Mieux peacock green:

And this emerald set from Felix Buhler:

The horse is a fleabitten grey in brown tack but with a dark mane. He looks pretty much plain grey until you get up close.

My jacket and helmet are navy, which I'm not sure works so well with the green. I have both brown and black boots.

Considering getting a grey jacket at some stage anyway for dressage.

Photo of the horse in question:

Apologies for the ENORMOUS photos!

Alternatively, I'm open to other suggestions. I want it to be classy so fairly muted, but not plain navy/black/brown.

Very important question 😉. I vote for the emerald green. Looks like a nice set and a rich colour. I reckon it will work with navy. The peacock is a bit of an odd colour to me, not quite green. Although I usually really like le mieux stuff. Rider by horse do really nice stuff too. Lovely pic.

Again a vote for the emerald green.

I don't think the peacock is rich enough to go with navy.

Also agree with the gorgeous horse comments!

I love the emerald! Agree with Oldie48 a fan of maroon but also think a dark grey with a silver trim would look nice - gorgeous horse!

Thank you everyone!

Green it is - love burgundy too but haven't found a set I like as much.

Denbob, funnily enough I started out with grey because I thought it would look lovely. In reality its quite underwhelming and just kind of merges into dreary shades of grey! :)
