Depends what colour grey (iron, dapples, flea-bitten, etc.) but I think blue looks very smart on grey horses . . . Kal has a lovely french blue numnah and bandage set from HKM. He also looks really smart in black.
When you say grey, is it a grey (white grey) dapple, steel etc?
I think grey looks nice on your darker greys (dapple, steel etc) also lemon looks quite nice, HKM Estoria (blue check) is also nice but can't say I've got one but can imagine it would look nice on any grey.
I used to have a lovely flea bitten grey and she looked great in burgundy. Then I had a dappled with black mane and tail and she looked great in black.
I think you can use most colours on greys really. Blue and green are nice too!!
We jump in green with brown tack & boots. Premier Equine saddlecloth
Grey. Eskedron saddlecloth & John Whittaker bandages
Yellow. Anky
Purple. Anky
Winter wear. Green fleece exercise sheet & navy bandages.
I've also got a sky blue set, a brown set & navy bandages with gold glitter. My pads are a mixture of Anky, Eskedron & Roma (fairly cheap but wear well) & my bandages are Anky, John Whittaker & JHL.
I think grey is the easiest colour to find stuff for 'cos they suit most colours. I've been eyeing up the HKM olive set for a few weeks & am definatley going to order it after seeing the picture of it on Troubles lovely grey horse.
I've just got a Anky Sangria pad for my grey roan which looks lovely, also ordered the sage set as well. She generally wears burgundy or slate/petrol but am collecting a few more colours and bandages that will also suit my young filly who is bay with minimal colouring when she's backed. It's a bit addictive isn't it!
Teal is a lovely colour for a grey, I am currently searching for a nice teal set (can be bits and pieces from different places), I have a teal gillet so we will both match!
