mats shaving not working

I recently purchased my rubber mats after months of saving ordered my shavings looked forward to easy stable management , what a nightmare dont know what i have done wrong but horses cob and ex racer are kicking their poo around everywhere Other stable mates bedding and horses poo in manageable manageable piles ours is everywhere and its like picking sultanas out of a spotted dick cant get it sorted Am i using too much bedding why is the poo spreading in small pieces througout the bedding never looks clean why did i bother with matts others use cardbourd stuff looks manky should i go back to straw?

How are you doing your beds?

And how long have you been in the shavings? I fond that sometimes they take a while to get used to a completely different bedding and they do eventually settle.

lol you made me laugh! i know what you mean sometimes if they make a mess box walking it is a pain to muck out. youve got a couple of options really .
1.you could just sprinkle a bit of shavings and clean it all up everyday (very easy)
2.give ur horses haylage balancer which makes is ment to make them less messy and poo less (sounds brill but does it work?)
