We have new wheels! Very exciting!!! It has a Luton with no matress in it. Do others have a proper mattress or a foam pad?

The luton is not very high so I want whatever i end up with to be as thin (yet comfy) as possible.

Any recommendations?

Do mattresses get damp over the winter? If so, how do people prevent this?? I was planning on buying some vacum packed bags for my bedding unless anyone has any better ideas-or do you normally only put it in the lorry only when you need it??

Please give me your Luton tips!

Never had a lorry with a Luton before as you can tell!

First overnight party is planned for mid march-cant wait!

As the curve on the front of my cab is fairly sharp and the luton quite narrow (only sleeps one) I bought a foam mattress made to measure.

They aren't 'cheap' but I found some not too bad after a bit of googling. I take it out for the winter and just put it in when I don't use

My old lorry had a large luton and I put a normal double mattress in it. In the winter I brought the mattress in and put it under the spare bed mattress.

My current lorry has a much, much smaller luton :(, I've put a foam mattress cut to size in there, it's also brought inside in the winter, but because of it's size it completely gets in the way
