I seem to be collecting welshies  A larger version of Phoenix, my Section A yearling, and I seem to have 'found' each other. If you'd asked me a year ago would I have a section D Id have said no way but Ive discovered how they can grow on you;)

So,my question, my Section D mare turned 7 in September, she was a late foal. She is currently measuring *just*14.3hh and is in a 6ft3 rug. Do you think this is her fully mature now or could she still grow/chunk out? thanks

Mine is 4 months older and the same size. She did a whole mass of growing earlier this year and she's 'evened' up. I hope that most of the growing is done as she needed a new saddle and rugs but there may be some more to come...........

Mines a late June foal and 7 this year she's 15.1 and 5'9 ,6" depending on make but struggle with rugs due to shoulder width every things a little snug round the front

mine is 15.3hh and 6 and just filled out this last year,he wears a 6.6" rug and hes still croup high! hes gone though 4 saddle widths in two years and now his backs a flat as a table! (hes my avatar and my username):D:D:D:D

here you go then

I think generally they are done growing between 7 and 8, mine has changed so much up until the age of 8, she is now 9.
See the liver chestnut thread for pics of her from when i first got her rising 4 in May 2006 to Oct 2011 :D

Mine is 7 he is 15.1H and as wide as he is tall, his rug size is 6ft 6.

I have to buy them big as to give you an example just his chest measures 1.5ft wide..!! :D

My boy is the same, I wanted to show him during the summer but everytime he put on condition he grew then got a little ribby lol! Anyway this is him shortly after he was gelded, at about 16mths and standing around 14.3!
