He is such a clever boy!!
To cut a long story short I rent a cottage and ever since I moved in (9 years ago!
) it has been a bone of contention with me that the Estate Manager will rock up unannounced and will expect to go round the cottage (inside and out) etc even when I am not there.
Suffice to say there have been a couple of short sharp discussions where I have made it clear it is completely unacceptable and I am entitled to at least 24 hours notice.
Anyhoo on monday when I was out the Estate Carpenter turned up unannounced to do some measuring up for some ongoing repairs - has taken about 3 years for them to get round to doing them
- and Max trapped him in the porch!!

When I got home the farmer/YO was mumbling about bloody dog etc etc and I just laughed and said 'Good boy Max - that is what I keep him for'. I was asked to lock him in on Tuesday so they could do the repairs. YO didn't say anything more as he clearly remembered the reason for me having Max (the middle of the night incident
).
When the carpenter turned up yesterday I said to him I would like to apolgise for Max but didn't feel I could as he was only doing his job and had I been told to expect him I would of course have made sure he was shut away - carpenter understood but wasn't keen on getting out the van until Max was inside - Max then didn't so much as whimper at him.

Is it me?
