I am no expert, but a cob has shorter cannon bones and a deeper depth of girth. A maxi has the same characteristics as a 15.1 show cob but is taller. With a hunter, there will be more daylight under its belly!
Currently looking at cobs with a friend to show at a decent level, and the cry of "too much daylight - its a hunter!" is oft heard!

If you do a google image search for maxi cob, and then heavyweight show hunter, you get a good idea of the difference

A maxi cob should, from a short distance away look exactly like a lw or hw cob but when your close up you will realize that they are a bit bigger. Hunters have longer cannons and will just look different even if its smaller hunter and not 16.2 they just have a different frame and look different .. I had a good rant about this not long ago lol!

Cobs are completely different from hunters! Even Heavyweight ones! Cobs are very thick set, have big broads heads, big thick necks, are normally short coupled and if allowed to grow their hair out would generally be big fluff balls. Hunters should be longer of leg, longer of neck and back, have a more refined movement, their heads are normally narrower and wouldn't be as hairy if left to grow out.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I have just bought a cob and a big cob at that 16.3hh, what I was wondering was does anyone think he could do the Maxi cob classes? Also does anyone know what Im doing wrong as to why my photos wont show up?

you had an extra IMG after your pic. Make sure there is just 1 before and after
