I assume with heavier horses it’s their own weight that’s considered, being taken on 2 legs when landing.
That's why I've wondered if it's too much on their joints although jumping wouldn't be my main thing ,but would like to go and do some low level clinics and the odd clear round, but only at 3 ft max. 3ft us quite high for me!

Is there a vet there that's good with orthopaedics/lameness? That's the sort of vet I'd like to do the vetting.
Ieuan (pronounced YahEye), Brian and Jonathan are all brilliant for lameness but I don't know how much on the road stuff they do, everytime I've been to see them I've taken the horse there.

Aimi and Ellie are the ones that normally come out to me, occassionally Mandy does too and I'd trust any of them with a vetting.

I dont see why a decent sized, fit cob couldn't jump 3ft. To be honest most cobs are far more capable than people believe. I don't think I'd want to do a lot of high impact work with one but I think they would be fine with low level stuff. Being fit with decent conformation will help xx

It was Aimi who did my vetting. She was very thorough, think she was on the phone to me for about an hour to talk through her findings. Horse passed and he’s been awesome.
