By Mill Law x Jumbo mare, I am not particularly taken with Mill Law in that he simply doesn't say STALLION, to me, but that's just my view, although I know I'm not alone in that.

His son has had a terrific in hand career, with the benefit of a top handler which can make a difference.

He's now going to be at Twemlows, has anyone seen him out and about at all and have any views? PM if you prefer.

So would I in an ideal world, but sometimes getting in early can be a good move.

Wonder what the plans are for this year with him?

I'm sure Primitive Proposal had many mares in his first season when totally untried.

yes precisely, and he was retired from eventing after only a couple of novice outings. There are a few stallions out there calling themselves 'event stallions' and in some cases neither they or their sire or dam have had a successful competition career.

Lovely quiet temperament like his sire, but really quite heavy (as per his dam line) more in the pattern of Primitive Star rather than a full TB type.

Depends on what your mare is like. If you like the bigger chunkier sires and want to put more bone or frame on the mare then he could be for you.

I do need bone and frame adding to, hence the interest.

I had seen somewhere I think (an advert.?) that PP was concentrating on his dressage career, it would appear that he hasn't any BE points?

He is a big boy, I thought quite hunter stamp, but he is very smart too and plenty of eventing blood in his pedigree so less of a gamble than ausing a 4yo without the eventing bloodlines, and he has done very well in hand so thats a number of different judges who have been impressed by him.

Have a look at the horse that beat it both in the B.E.F Event & B.E.F. SJ classes last year. This is the British Eventing PAVO Champion "Classic Primitive".

Best of luck in your search whatever stallion you choose.

My 4yo showed with him and lived with him all last year and i think he's a very classy model. Also has a fab temperament, in that he wasn't the boss in the barn at all despite being a colt and was very easy to do etc etc.
