Well I went riding today and I had booked my normal horse, but I thought just for a change maybe I could try something else.
Well a new horse had come in to the riding school and my instructor had just taken it out on a hack on the lesson before mine, so they decided to put me on her.
She is honestly the prettiest mare ever. She's a liver chestnut 16hh mare. I got on her and someone in the gallery asked if she was mine, I said no, but they wanted to tell me how gorgeous she was!
Anyway, I began riding her and she was like a little pony, did what I asked, a little lazy but was just a little sweetheart.
Then it came to jumping, I came at a rather awful trot and she took me over it, not refusing once, and even when i pulled her out of the jump, next time round she took me straight over it, not taking advantage :)
And she has THE most comfortable canter ever.

She needs a little schooling and she is a little green but lovely none the less.
I asked my instructor how long she'd been at the school and he said 2 days, I was shocked at how well she had settled and how she took everything in her stride so fast! (They are using her minimally and by experienced riders until she has properly gotten used to everything).

I will ride her for a few more lessons and see what happens, but she is so genuine and lovely, all the instructors love her already (as do I;)).
So only time will show :D x

Sorry for essay I'm just very happy :D

How exciting, would your parents buy her for you?
On another note the RS i work at got a new horse last week, appently well schooled etc girl took it out to lunge today and as soon as it when through the school gate started rodeoing and galloped off rodeoing around the school lol we caught it and then it lunged fine we told the girl not to get on it but she didnt listen! Got on it and it took one step and went rodeo (literally like a rodeo horse leaping around) girl falls off and was lucky she didnt get kicked! Horse back in stable probably never to be sat on again

Haha, I have had that before. A new horse called Costa came to our stables got on him and he immediatly bolted with me. I lost my stirrup and fell off, he was never ridden again ;)

But I rode this horse and she was really sweet, normally I can sense whether I am going to fall off in a lesson (psychic powers ;)), but this pony did fill me with confidence. I am not going to rush into anything obviously, because I had fallen in love with another riding school horse and she turned out a lot different to first experience, but the horse is everything I'm looking for plus she's already at the stables so no need to settle again (as i would be keeping her on livery there).
If she continues this way then Dad has said he would talk to the stables about her.

I've been looking for a horse for about a year now and haven't rushed into anything, and that's still the case with this mare :D
