May I wear navy riding for hat inhand showing? Yellow tie? etc ...

Sorry to be a complete pain. I have my first show tomorrow morning at 8am.

A person on my yard said that I can't wear a navy hat in the ring. And also that I need to have my tie co-ordinated with my horse. (I have a trad black and white cob.)
Is this true???

(I have a mustard-ish coloured tie with small navy spots.)

I should be wearing a tweed jacket,plain white shirt, brown gloves,navy trousers if all seems ok.

Does this sound correct? Does it truly matter? I am getting a bit confused with different advice lol!

Sounds fine as long as everything ties in (excuse the pun) together .

Just remember if the horse has dark legs wear light trousers and vice versa.
