I have heard a lot of really good things about these but never ridden in one. However, I don't reallly like the look of them - they just look ugly to me! Am I alone?

How is this ugly - looks like a normal saddle to me...

Wouldnt say looks like a normal saddle

I think they have conventionalised them a bit now, but not overly keen on their looks. Their dressage saddle is more conventional IMO.

That's where the saddler puts the air in when they're fitting it. It gets removed afterwards & all that's left is a valve thing that looks like the toggle on a duffle coat. You don't have to ride while trailing tubes!!!

Thanks! is there any chance of the saddle puncturing?

Sue Carson ones are the same with the valves, they just tuck back into the seams of the saddle... Must admit I'm not overly keen on the "look" of the WOW saddle... but I guess you dont notice that once on it!

Just out of interest why have you got so much padding under the saddle? I thought they were meant to be fitted close to the horses back?

I was waiting for a different head plate so had to use the packing to raise the saddle slightly. New headplate now fitted and packing removed

i used to think they were horrible looking things..
but i think the more specialised ie dressage or jumping are nice..and look conventional with someone sitting in them-look in my sig!
